Free Entry Drop-Off at Wine Paris: Join the Only Wine Competition Judged Exclusively by Trade Buyers

Berlin International Wine Competition (BIWC) is excited to announce free on-site drop-off for all Wine Paris exhibitors at our booth during the trade show. Enter your wines in the most authentic trade-focused competition in the industry—where real buyers judge what they actually purchase.

We’re making it easier than ever for wine producers to participate in BIWC 2026. If you’re exhibiting at Wine Paris this February, simply visit our booth to drop off your entries for our trade buyer-only competition taking place the weekend of March 1st. No shipping hassles, no additional logistics—just bring your bottles to us at the show.

What Makes BIWC Different?

The Berlin International Wine Competition stands apart from every other wine competition in the world. We are the only international wine competition where 100% of our judges are verified trade buyers—importers, distributors, retailers, and buyers who make daily purchasing decisions in the wine industry. This isn’t about critics or experts sharing their personal preferences; it’s about the professionals who actually stock shelves and place orders evaluating your products.

Our judges assess wines within their specific category and actual retail price point, ensuring fair and relevant comparisons. A premium wine isn’t judged against ultra-luxury bottles, and craft distillers aren’t competing with established global brands in different price tiers. Your wine is evaluated by the same people who would consider buying it, using the same criteria they apply in their real-world purchasing decisions.

Why This Matters for Your Brand

When you win at BIWC, you’re not just receiving an award—you’re earning the endorsement of buyers who can actually bring your product to market. Our judges are actively looking for wines to add to their portfolios. A medal from BIWC signals to the trade that your product has been vetted and approved by their peers, making it a powerful sales tool for your team.

Winners receive comprehensive recognition and marketing tools to maximize their success. Every winner receives a digital image of their award and their score, plus the opportunity to purchase medal stickers and licensing for use on bottles and packaging—powerful point-of-sale tools that influence purchasing decisions. Top-performing wines will be showcased at our booth at ProWein at no additional charge, putting your products directly in front of thousands of international buyers and decision-makers at one of the world’s largest and most influential trade shows.

Beyond the trade shows, all winners gain significant digital exposure through www.alcoholprofessor.com and its sister websites within the www.professormediagroup.com network, which collectively receive over 220,000 visitors per month. This sustained online visibility extends your award recognition far beyond the competition itself, reaching engaged consumers and trade professionals actively researching wines.

Our Commitment to the Industry

We’ve maintained the same entry fees for 12 years because we genuinely love and support the wine industry. While costs have risen across the board, we believe in keeping BIWC accessible to craft distillers, emerging brands, and established producers alike. Our mission has always been about elevating quality wines and connecting them with the buyers who matter—not about maximizing profits.
